For the past nine years, Jeff Troyer has served as the children’s pastor of Super Kids Church, Manna’s urban children’s ministry meeting at Rollerskating the Net in Fort Myers. His favorite scripture, Psalm 139 reminds him that every child has been handcrafted by the creator of the cosmos. Five of these handcrafted miracles bless the union of Jeff and his wife who he met and married while in college twenty-two years ago. Jeff is Manager of Sales, Use & Excise Taxes for a Fortune 500 Company. He received his undergraduate degree in accounting from the University of South Florida, a masters degree in accounting from Nova Southeastern University and is a certified public accountant.
David Moreland
David J. Moreland is a 13-year veteran of the Financial Services industry. He currently serves as Vice President, Investments a large Financial Services company. assisting clients with Financial, Income and Estate Planning needs.
David is married and has a son and daughter. They currently reside in Fort Myers, Florida.
David is committed to the ministry of MCM because of a long-standing relationship with the Quinn family. David met Michael in college and they developed a lifelong friendship. David has a heart for the needs of the people in SW Florida that Manna serves, and also had family who served as missionaries in Latin American cultures and is passionate about the spread of the Gospel around the world.
David’s favorite verse is Micah 6:8 ‘And what does the Lord require of you but to do justice, and to love kindness and to walk humbly with your God.’
Tom Pope
Tom Pope has served on the board of directors of Manna Christian Missions since 1986. He is the senior pastor at First United Methodist Church in Macclenny, Florida. He and his wife are from Bonita Springs, Florida where they met in Sunday School while in Junior High. They have three children and seven grandchildren. Their oldest son lives in Kentucky where he is employed in the auto manufacturing industry. Their daughter lives in Clarksville, Tennessee with her three children. Their youngest son is serving in the U.S. Army in the 101st airborne at Fort Campbell, Kentucky. He is currently deployed to Afghanistan.
Tom served in the U.S. Air Force for six years during the Vietnam War, before being called into the ministry. He has served churches in South Florida, Kentucky, Ohio and Nassau, Bahamas. He taught preaching at Asbury Theological Seminary where he received the Master of Divinity degree and completed coursework for the Doctor of Ministry degree. For nine years he served as the director of admissions for the seminary.
Tom serves as chaplain for the Baker County Fire Department and EMS department, and is a certified emergency medical first responder.
He and his wife enjoy camping in the mountains and being with their grandkids.
Chaplain (COL) Richard Quinn
Chaplain (COL) Richard G. Quinn was born and raised in Bonita Springs, Florida as the fourth of six children. He entered South Eastern Bible College, Lakeland, FL in 1975 and graduated with a B.A. in Biblical Studies and Music in 1978. After pastoring and ordination in Hawaii, he entered the Assemblies of God Theological Seminary, Springfield, MO and graduated with a Masters of Divinity in 1983. While in seminary he joined the Missouri Army National Guard on 25 August 1981 with a direct commission to 2LT as a Chaplain Candidate. After graduation he served 2 years as the contract Installation Chaplain at Kwajalein Missile Range in the Marshall Islands while continuing his reserve duty in Korea and Japan. On 25 September 1985 Chaplain Quinn entered active duty as a 1LT at Fort Benning, GA.
His military assignments include: Battalion Chaplain with the 197th Infantry Brigade, the 1st Infantry Training Brigade, and the 3/75 Rangers, Ft. Benning, GA; 4/69 AR Bn, and 6.41 FA Bn, Kitzingen, GE (and Desert Storm in support of the 2nd ACR); 80th ORD Bn, and Regimental Chaplain 9th IN Regt, Ft. Lewis, WA; ARFOR Chaplain, Guantanamo Bay, Cuba; Concepts Officer-Combat Developments, USACHCS, Ft. Jackson, SC; Installation Chaplain, Camp Carroll, Korea; Senior Brigade UMT Observer/Controller, CMTC, Hohenfels, GE; BSB/AFNORTH Chaplain, Brunssom, NL; Deputy Garrison Chaplain, Ft. Stewart, GA; Garrison Chaplain, Hunter Army Airfield, Savannah, GA; Chief, Religious Activities and Garrison Chaplain, Ft. Leavenworth, KS; 1st Sustainment Command (Theater) at Ft. Bragg, NC and currently assigned as the Command Chaplain for US Army Forces in Alaska.
His awards and decorations include the Legion of Merit, Bronze Star, Defense Meritorious Service Medal, Meritorious Service Medal, Army Commendation Medal, Army Achievement Medal, Joint Meritorious Unit Award, Valorous Unit Award, Army Reserve Comp. Achievement Medal, Humanitarian Service Medal , and the Armed Forces Reserve Medal, Defense of Korea Medal, Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal. Chaplain Quinn is also airborne jumpmaster qualified.
His wife of 34 years is the former Margene Wortz of Flint, MI. They have two children.
